Distributed Denial of Service/ DDoS

The aim of a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack is to flood a website with a massive number of data. This will put the server temporarily out of service and make access to the website difficult or even impossible. This kind of attack is different from hacking, because the only aim of the perpetrators is to damage the image of a particular company. When a financial institution is being attacked, there is no danger as for the personal data and assets of its customers. Neither will internet and mobile banking security be affected.
